Built for contractors,
not the copy counter.

Plan printing is a commodity; getting the right set to the right person on the right morning is not. Here is how PLOPLAN compares with the alternatives Boston contractors use today. Wording about other companies is kept to what varies by location, because it does.

The cost that is not on the receipt

Office-supply print counters

Convenient when you are already there. Wide-format is usually priced by the square foot, mixed color sets are awkward, and someone still has to drive the set to the site. Delivery, when offered, is to an address, not a person.

Local reprographics

Often excellent print quality and staff who know construction sets. Ordering is usually by email or phone, quotes come back later, and jobsite delivery depends on the shop's own van and schedule.

PLOPLAN

Published per-sheet rates ($2.49 for 24 × 36 black and white), price on screen before upload, Smart Mixed color, saved jobsites, revision-only reprints, and delivery windows from next day ($14.95) to a 2-hour rush, handed to the person you name.

Price any set yourself on the plan printing page and compare it with a real quote from the shop you use today.

Comparison questions

Is PLOPLAN cheaper than Staples or FedEx Office for blueprints?

We publish our rates and let you price any set before uploading: a 24 × 36 black-and-white sheet is $2.49, color is $5.49. Office-supply counters price wide-format printing by the square foot and vary by store, so compare a real set with their in-store quote. Where PLOPLAN usually wins is the total cost of the trip: no drive, no counter wait, and delivery to the trailer.

Why not use my local reprographics shop?

Many local shops print well. What PLOPLAN adds is the workflow: online upload, price on screen, saved jobsites, revision-only reprints, order history, and delivery windows you choose. If your shop already does all of that, keep using it.

Does PLOPLAN print mixed color and black-and-white sets?

Yes. Smart Mixed prints only the sheets you mark in color and the rest in black and white, so you do not pay color rates on line work.

Can I keep ordering the same set for new subs?

Yes. Saved plan files reorder in one click, and when the set is revised the revision flow prints just the changed sheets.
